About Me
I’m Matt, founder of Head Bone Leather. I work from my home workshop with my black Labrador, Maddie, usually close by keeping an eye on things. I’ve spent most of my life making and creating things by hand, and leathercraft became the trade that truly stuck with me.
There’s pride in building something properly from raw materials with your own hands, and that’s exactly what goes into every piece I make.
What draws me to leather is how natural and timeless it feels. The smell, the texture, the way it softens and gains character over time — every piece tells its own story through use. I love knowing that something I made by hand could become part of someone’s everyday life for many years.
At Head Bone Leather every item in my shop is handmade entirely by me using traditional techniques and quality materials. No factory production, no rushing — just careful craftsmanship and genuine attention to detail from start to finish.
