How long does delivery take?
All items at Head Bone Leather are made to order, which means your piece is crafted specifically for you once your order is placed. Please allow 5–10 working days for your item to be made before dispatch. Delivery times will then depend on your chosen shipping method. It may mean a short wait, but we promise it'll be worth it!
What leather do you use?
We use high-quality full-grain leather — the finest grade of leather available. Full-grain leather retains the natural surface of the hide, making it stronger, more durable, and more beautiful over time. It develops a rich patina with age and use, meaning your piece only gets better the longer you own it.
A note on natural markings
Please note that natural markings are a hallmark of authentic leather, not defects. Every hide carries its own unique history, showcasing distinct characteristics such as healed scars, growth wrinkles, insect bites, and subtle variations in grain or colour. These individual markings do not compromise the structural integrity of the leather; instead, they serve as proof of its genuine origin and ensure that your piece is entirely one of a kind.
How do I care for my leather goods?
Full-grain leather is naturally durable but benefits from a little care. Keep it away from prolonged exposure to water and direct sunlight. Occasionally applying a good quality leather conditioner will keep it supple and help it age beautifully. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning products.
Can I request a custom order?
Absolutely! Custom orders are very welcome. If you have a specific design, size, or personalisation in mind, please get in touch via the contact page and Matt will be happy to discuss what's possible.
Do you offer returns or exchanges?
Because every item is handmade to order specifically for you, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges unless the item arrives damaged or faulty. If you have any concerns about your order, please don't hesitate to get in touch and we'll do our best to help.
Where are you based?
Head Bone Leather is based just outside Exeter, Devon, UK. All items are handmade by Matt in his home workshop — one piece at a time, with care and attention to detail. Please be advised I do not have a shop and do not sell my items from my workshop.
